About Us
Mission Statement
The Mission of Housing Partners of Western Nebraska is to provide housing to those of low and very low incomes including those who are elderly, disabled and those looking to achieve self-sufficiency. HPWN is focusing on keeping successful tenants in housing.
Description of What We Do
It is our goal to provide residents affordable housing and help them become self-sufficient with economic independence. We do this by providing low rent and programs that help people to learn how to care for their housing. Plus we provide seniors with low rent housing and housing that is set toward persons with special needs.
Funding
The Housing Authority receives operational funding for its traditional housing programs from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, Federal Home Loan Bank, Nebraska Department of Economic Development, Nebraska Investment Finance Authority, U.S.D.A. and from the rents it collects each month.
Time Established
The Scotts Bluff Housing Authority was established in 1965; it has since grown and continues to develop with the idea that most people need help at some point in time. We are now known as Housing Partners of Western Nebraska.
Board of Commissioners
The Housing Authority of the County of Scotts Bluff, NE (SBHA) is governed by a five-member board of commissioners appointed by the Scotts Bluff County Commissioners.
